    CNA / Certified Nursing Assistant - TPRBP

    Primary Function
    A Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) main role is provide excellent patient care. Patient care includes, but is not limited to, assisting with client’s activities of daily living (ADLs) such as eating/feeding, bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, personal hygiene, and reminding the client to take scheduled medications.
    Job Responsibilities:

  • Obtain Temperature, Pulse, Respiration and Blood Pressure as instructed (Vitals, or TPRBP)
  • Bathing, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene
  • Shampooing and fingernail care at least twice a week
  • Assist with cane, walker or wheelchair if needed
  • Skin care
  • Ensuring that all medications are taken on schedule.
  • Document accurate and up-to-date progress notes.
  • Assist respiratory clients with there breathing treatments.
  • Oral/ Denture care at least twice a day.
  • Assist with meal set up and feeding as needed
  • Escorting the client to the doctor or other appointments
  • Practice universal precautions
  • Follow HIPAA Guidelines In some cases, CNA are also expected to do some light housekeeping, which includes the following: Daily Housekeeping
  • Bed Makings
  • Meal Preparations
  • Cleaning the kitchen after each meal

    As a Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA at Genesis HealthCare, you will:

    The duties and responsibilities of the Nurse Aide relate primarily to the physical care, safety, and emotional well being of the residents.     CNA - Subacute Program

    Specific Responsibilities
    The RCA/CNA is responsible for answering call lights, taking and documenting vital signs, computing input/output, assisting with feeding, monitoring the environment for any safety issues and for notifying the RN of any patient concerns. This position requires a significant amount of lifting and transferring of patients throughout the day.
    This position can be filled as a .4, .6, .8 or 1.0 depending on the final staffing mix. The staffing for the unit will require every other weekend and holiday rotations.

    • Protect client heath information according to Innovative Healthcare policies and procedure and federal and state law and regulations.
    • Maintain professional appearances, attitude and demeanor while on duty
    • Perform other miscellaneous tasks which would normally be required of a companion caregiver

    Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA

    • 18 years of age or older
    • High school diploma or GED equivalency
    • Three months of work experience in personal aide or equivalent life experience
    • Certification of CNA, HHA or NAR completion
    • Provide health records to supervisor, i.e. TB within the last year (If test was positive, provide chest X-ray indicating negative results).
    • Must pass the Corporation’s evaluation of a background check through Washington State Patrol
    • Ability to effectively communicate in English with all levels of the healthcare team
    • Flexibility to travel to assignments
    • Proof of valid auto liability insurance, valid drivers license and a copy of a current driving record from the DMV
    • Able to carry bundles up or down stairs and lift with or without assistance of at least 10 lbs.
    • Able to stand, bend, stoop, squat, kneel and reach freely and assist clients with standing and walking.
    • Proof of U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in this country
    • Reliable transportation is a plus
